Ingredients
1 loaf of Country Harvest® Ancient Grains with Red Fife | |
½ cup of butter | |
¼ tsp. Italian seasoning | |
1 cup of pesto | |
1 cup of parmesan cheese (shredded) |
How to make
1. | Place 2 non-stick lined baking sheets (if you don’t have non-stick feel free to line with tin foil). |
2. | Preheat the oven to 400◦F. |
3. | In a microwave safe bowl or on the stove melt butter and Italian seasonings. |
4. | Using a brush lightly spread butter evenly across each piece of bread and then top with pesto. |
5. | Place in the oven and bake for 10 minutes until the bread is crispy and lightly golden brown. |
6. | Sprinkle with parmesan cheese place back in the oven under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted. |
7. | Slice in halves or fourths and serve with soup, pasta, or as a quick and easy appetizer. |
