Peanut Butter Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients
| 12 slices of NSA White with Whole Grains bread | |
| 1/4 cup all-purpose flour | |
| 1 cup whole milk | |
| 4 eggs | |
| 2 tsp. vanilla extract | |
| 1 tsp. ground cinnamon | |
| 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg | |
| 1/4 tsp. salt | |
| 1 tbsp. sugar | |
| 12 tbsp. creamy or crunchy peanut butter | |
| Optional: Maple syrup and powdered sugar |
How to make
| 1. | Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. |
| 2. | Whisk flour and milk together in a medium bowl until smooth. |
| 3. | Whisk in eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and pour into a shallow pan or bowl. Just make sure that the bowl will be wide enough for bread slices. |
| 4. | Lightly oil or butter the hot griddle. |
| 5. | Dip bread slices in egg mixture and allow them to sit for a 15-30 seconds until mixture is absorbed. |
| 6. | Carefully transfer egg dipped slices to griddle, letting excess egg mixture drip off. |
| 7. | Cook each side of the bread until golden brown. |
| 8. | Spread a tbsp. of peanut butter on each slice of bread. Serve as single slices or as a stack. Drizzle with maple syrup and dust with sugar. |
