5. Provolone & Ham Melt with Potato and Leek soup

Ham and cheese is another classic combo that is impossible to turn down. Our quick and easy classic Country Harvest™ recipe for a Provolone & Ham melt can be paired with multiple soups, but it goes phenomenally well with a potato and leek soup. Add a little cream to the potato soup to make the texture a little thicker, or if dairy is not your thing, you can always use chicken or vegetable broth. Potatoes are delicious in a soup because they can make soups creamy even if you choose not to add cream. These flavours together make for the perfect sandwich and soup dip bite.

6. Green Goddess Havarti Sandwich with Cream of Broccoli soup

No matter the time of year, a green goddess sandwich or salad is impossible to turn down. Not only are soups warming, but they are also a great way to use everything in your fridge or freezer. If you are over buying produce, throw everything you have into a pot with some seasoning, flavour and broth and a homemade soup. Frozen vegetables are the best to use in soup. Instead of reheating and having soggy veggies, soup is the perfect solution. Blend all your soups up, and your kids will not know they are even eating vegetables. Make your taste buds think it’s spring with this delicious recipe, and pair it with a comforting soup like cream of broccoli soup to keep you nice and warm.

7. Open-faced Steak Bagel Sandwich with French Onion Soup

It is impossible to turn down a steak sandwich no matter the time of year, but it becomes harder to say no when cooler weather has you wanting more comforting foods.
