Ingredients
| 8 slices NSA White with Whole Grains Bread | |
| ¼ cup (60 ml) low-sodium marinara sauce | |
| ¼ ounce (113 g) fresh mozzarella cheese ball, thinly sliced | |
| 1 large tomato, cut into 8 thin slices | |
| ½ tsp. (2.5 ml) freshly ground black pepper | |
| ¼ tsp. (1.2 5ml) kosher salt | |
| 12 large basil leaves | |
| 2 tbsp. (30 ml) olive oil, divided |
How to make
| 1. | Spread the marinara sauce evenly over 1 side of each of 4 slices of Country Harvest™ No Sugar Added White with Whole Grains Bread. |
| 2. | Top the sauce evenly with cheese then tomatoes. |
| 3. | Sprinkle tomatoes evenly with pepper and salt. |
| 4. | Top seasoned tomatoes with basil then remaining bread slices. |
| 5. | Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat. |
| 6. | Add half the olive oil to pan and swirl until fully coated. |
| 7. | Add sandwiches to pan; cook 2 1/2 minutes or until browned. Brush tops evenly with remaining olive oil. |
| 8. | Turn sandwiches over; cook 2 minutes or until browned. |
| 9. | Serve while hot! |
