Ingredients

8 slices NSA White with Whole Grains Bread
¼ cup (60 ml) low-sodium marinara sauce
¼ ounce (113 g) fresh mozzarella cheese ball, thinly sliced
1 large tomato, cut into 8 thin slices
½ tsp. (2.5 ml) freshly ground black pepper
¼ tsp. (1.2 5ml) kosher salt
12 large basil leaves
2 tbsp. (30 ml) olive oil, divided

How to make

1. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over 1 side of each of 4 slices of Country Harvest™ No Sugar Added White with Whole Grains Bread.
2. Top the sauce evenly with cheese then tomatoes.
3. Sprinkle tomatoes evenly with pepper and salt.
4. Top seasoned tomatoes with basil then remaining bread slices.
5. Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat.
6. Add half the olive oil to pan and swirl until fully coated.
7. Add sandwiches to pan; cook 2 1/2 minutes or until browned. Brush tops evenly with remaining olive oil.
8. Turn sandwiches over; cook 2 minutes or until browned.
9. Serve while hot!
